Mix the following ingredients in a bowl:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
In another bowl mix:
1 beaten egg
1 cup milk
1/4 cup cooking oil
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in milk mixture. Mix until just moistened. Stir in 1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces.
Grease muffin pan or line with paper cups. Fill cups 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes or until golden.
Put powdered sugar in paper bag. One at a time, shake a muffin until covered in powdered sugar.
